This is an archived posting from my previous website “Chips Antidotal Wanderings” – a personal blog about family, creative moments, and pain management activities in my life. That blog was active from 2004-2011.

Yesterday I had a handful of greeting cards I needed to get accomplished. Been a while since I was in my studio building cards, but as always I had plenty of stuff in my scrap stash to put together in hardly no time at all.  Which was good because I was running short on time. I didn’t stop to click pictures of all of them before getting them into the mail, but here’s a couple I did for folks in town that I hand delivered.

I think I’ve had this paisly paper in my scrapbooking supplies for a million years. It’s a light colored lilac with periwinkle blue.  The stamped butterfly images are embellished with an iridescent, almost clear embossing. One of those colors that have sparkles in them you end up wearing the rest of the day no matter how much you try to get it off. LOL

This brown tone card was made for a friend of mine who just finished the Senior NCO course. She loves wolves and that gave me the perfect opportunity to use a stamp that sits lonely in the drawer for long periods between inkings.  When she got her congrats card she thought I had sketched the wolf.  Too funny! She obviously thinks I have more talent than I do.  Sam, you are such a hoot  – and congrats to you on your accomplishment once again.  You’re awesome!

The fold on this card is an according style fold like the one shown in the “Punch and Fun” video produced by “StampAndSmiles” at YouTube. I was inspired by this video after seeing it at the Creative Phrog Stampin Pad facebook fan page.  Thanks Michele for sharing the video and inspriring me! Love the goodies you share on your fan page. Seems you’ve got something new to post everyday. 😉
