The Office Calleth My Name

Well I returned to work (with much regret) after a wonderful week of time away from the worksite. I enjoyed the holiday break with my family so much that I didn’t want to go back to the grinding stone. I have almost caught up on the work left behind in my absence. I still have several sets of slides I should prepare before briefings start again next week. But I just don’t seem to have the incentive to focus on slides today. I suppose that paycheck I get from time to time should be incentive enough. LOL

Today’s Agenda

Our Boo is at a debate tournament all day today and again tomorrow. So sweet partner and I are hoping to sneak in a dinner date this evening. And since migraines kept me from my usual January 1st tradition of taking down our Christmas tree before now, I’ll be doing that this weekend. I’m also hoping to get myself back into the art studio for a while. I’ve missed not being in my “play room” this week. I have a stack of Thank You cards to make and send out. So that will be my first project. Then I have a couple of Circle Journals A themed mini-book that you co-create with one or more friends. Each person contributes a page(s) to your bookthat need to be accomplished as well. Maybe I can play in the pages – collaging a day or two of fun!

A Special Gift from Crafty Friends!

I received the neatest ATC Friendship Quilt from my friends at CHWThe CraftHappy community forums is now closed for Christmas.

The cards in the Friendship Quilt are very special to me. It was such a surprise! There are so many talented artists at CHW and we have such fun playing online games, meeting creative challenges, and chattering with one another!

This ATC Friendship Quilt is such a great creative project idea.  I do believe I may have to repeat this again sometime.  To build a paper quilt for use during  creative visioning therapy would be useful too!  Note to self – include this in future alternative pain management therapyThe term alternative therapy describes medical treatment or intervention that is used in place of conventional medicine. I use alternative therapies often because they have fewer side affects and many times work better than traditional western medicine options..  😀

A giant Thank You hug to all the gals who participated in this gift.  I love all your ATC’s!  I am blessed to know each and every one of you!

If all goes well I will type up another update soon.

Cheers
