Our weekend started with a health insurance stresser on Friday. So we decided to just chill out for the weekend and give ourselves a relaxing break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Saturday we went up to Estes Park for some photo ops. This is the time of year when the elk are coming down from the tundra and the bulls are herding their cows.  So you can usually catch some good sparring events.  However this go around the weather was not cooperating with us, plus Greg forgot to put his the fancy camera lens in the car. Nevertheless he managed to get some awesome photos.

I especially like the way he captured the reflection of the trees in this pond. The photo reminds me of the lazy afternoon we spent just wandering around the area. The overcast rainy day was peaceful and a much needed break from our everyday routine.

I think I’ll set this photo as my desktop background and let my mind wander back here from time to time when I need a break!  Would go nice in my Creative Visioning book as well.

Sunday I went to the spa for a body wrap and relaxing massage. Oh it felt soooo  good to be spoiled for the day! Of course I did have to come home and finish the laundry, but that wasn’t so bad. The activity didn’t put a damper on the spa results at all. I also enjoyed a long conversation with my Liz friend, whom I miss dearly.  Was good to catch up on things with her and chatter away the hours. 🙂

All in all this turned out to be one of the calmest weekends we’ve had all summer.  I hope you are having a good summer too!
