I drew these two doodles (shown in the title banner) quite a while back.  A year or two at least.  When I was finished with them I liked parts of them, but there were also some line markings that I wasn’t so crazy about.  Because I wanted to use them on some greeting card creations I had in mind – I scanned the images and then did a few small manipulations on them using my Photoshop software.

While black ink is my preferred color, I had a red pen handy while in a doodley mood, so I originally drew them with the red.  After removing the lines I wasn’t too tickled about and correcting a few others, I changed the line color to black.  Then I was finally happy with my creations.

They are now saved in computer files that I can print onto cardstock at any time, color them up if I’m in the mood to do so – and add to greeting cards and other paper arts creations I’m playing around with.

Here’s one of the final designs digitally colored.

Sun Dancer Doodle

Here’s my little Sun Dancer Doodle after I did the computer manipulations.

Sun Dancer Doodle

What do you think?  Is she improved?  I really like the way she came out in the end. So do you ever redo your doodles?  Use them in multiple projects?
