The Kick-Off!

Mr Greg fell and broke his foot this past week. Happened on Monday night. They put it in a boot cast on Tuesday. Poor fella. He was exhausted after work yesterday. His arm pits are sore from the crutches. Just layed around and watched TV last night. Not in much of a mood for anything else, but he caught a little football. So I suppose the day wasn’t all bad.

I think I’ll be pushing his buttons and patience limit much more than he will be mine. Because he doesn’t like to be waited on nor can he stand being dependent on others to get things done. Plus he hates my driving. So he’s really having to stretch emotionally as much as physically to get through this thing. He’ll be in the boot for at least 6 weeks. Maybe longer. And as long as he doesn’t put any weight on the foot and it doesn’t slip out of place, surgery won’t be necessary.  I think it’s great that they did the boot. This way he can take it off for showering and just relaxing too. Makes it so much better than the days of those scratchy sweaty plaster casts!

Although he can be a bear of a patient, my sweety sent me roses at work this week. To say thanks for playing nurse and taxi driver while he’s down and out.
